Cultural History Week
Every year during October the School has a 'Cultural History Week' focus. Classes undertake work and activities to celebrate the achievements and to learn about the contributions of different people from ethnic minority backgrounds. The above is in addition to the opportunities to celebrate all cultures in an inclusive curriculum.
All classes took part in the Cultural History Week. There were African dance and drumming classes and poetry writing exercises. Classes also learned about cultural icons like Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King.
A selection of photographs from the Cultural History Week is available in the Photo Gallery under the News and Events. The following are description of some of the activities undertaken by classes.
